The New imc STUDIO 2025 Measurement Software

imc STUDIO, the test and measurement software for the entire measurement process, is now available in its latest version 2025.

Whether you're working with Wheel Force Transducers (WFTs), multi-sensor setups, or complex DAQ systems, this update makes testing faster, smarter, and more reliable.

Building on imc STUDIO’s proven capabilities, the 2025 version adds a visual assistant for easier WFT setup and balancing. Remote control support lets drivers balance WFTs safely at speed, while multi-PC test observation and advanced filtering streamline workflows.

Expanded hardware integration now supports more CAN sensors and ECUs, with configurations editable even without hardware. A new IP-based connection ensures seamless operation in cloud and complex IT environments.

For real-time analysis, multi-core optimizations have tripled processing speeds, while digitally signed program files ensure IT security.

With 100+ usability improvements, from reduced popups to faster metadata entry, imc STUDIO 2025 is our most advanced version yet—delivering seamless and efficient testing.

WFT assistant and support for driver remote control

Only for imc CRONOSflex, a new visual assistant is now available to configure wheel dimensions and balance 6-component Wheel Force Transducers (WFTs). The WFT plug-in includes a user-friendly assistant for setup, along with pre-made panel pages for optimized visualization of measured results. It also supports driver remote control to initiate balancing while at speed, using haptic feedback, so the driver doesn’t need to look away from the road. This saves time in test preparation and helps avoid costly and time-consuming test repeats—especially when prototype vehicles are limited, or test track rentals are expensive.

Improved CAN bus assistant

The latest update enables multi-selection and filtering to easily define which CAN channels should be available during the test and which ones are to be decoded in post-processing. It also introduces support for status Bit channels from sensors or ECUs, making it ideal for applications in automotive, commercial vehicles, agricultural and construction machinery, as well as for vehicle testing and test benches. With this release, data from a broader range of CAN sensors and ECUs can now be acquired using ARGUSfit.

Support for new ARGUSfit modules

The new imc STUDIO release introduces support for the latest imc ARGUSfit modules T-10 and DI-16. The T-10 enables decentralized thermocouple measurements with advanced fiber-optic isolation, providing a clear advantage over traditional CANSAS twin modules. Meanwhile, the DI-16 expands functionality by offering trigger inputs and remote control switches—ideal for more flexible and responsive test setups.

Improved multi-PC test observation

The new imc STUDIO Monitor enhances teamwork during testing by allowing engineers to check and modify configurations—even when the hardware is offline. This includes adjusting data visualizations, live calculation settings, and preparing tests when setups are temporarily unavailable, such as when a train is not present. Devices can now also be accessed via IP address, enabling collaboration in complex network environments like VPNs or cloud routers. Especially useful in railway and aerospace applications, each engineer can independently observe and process their part of the data stream without interfering with others, making collaborative testing more efficient and flexible.

General improvements

imc STUDIO 2025 introduces a range of general improvements designed to enhance usability, performance, and integration. Users now have access to the unscaled electric input range of all analog inputs, allowing them to verify and adjust measurement ranges independently of individual sensor scaling. The updated Python integration enables on-the-fly post-processing with improved consistency in engineering units, similar to what users are familiar with from FAMOS. Additionally, digital signatures on all program components facilitate smoother approvals from IT departments. The release also brings noticeable performance enhancements and user interface simplifications for a more efficient workflow.
