The New imc STUDIO 2024 Measurement Software
imc STUDIO, the test and measurement software for the entire measurement process is now available in its latest version 2024.
The most important new features include the efficient input and management of metadata to document measurements well, for example in their test and boundary conditions, support for convenient calibration of measurement microphones, and a Python® interface for the flexible expansion of data analysis options in post-processing. Overall, functionality and handling have been further improved and the reaction speed when working with configurations of hundreds of active channels has been significantly accelerated.
Meta data to make the most of valuable data
imc STUDIO 2024 now has a practical function for comprehensive documentation and traceability using metadata to ensure that measurements can be carried out reliably and interpreted meaningfully.
Users can document additional information together with the measurement data as so-called meta data, such as test setups, varied parameters or environmental conditions, so that well-founded findings can actually be gained from complex measurement series during subsequent analysis. This helps to maintain an overview and draw the right conclusions from the valuable and carefully compiled measurement data.
imc STUDIO supports metadata handling in a very convenient way: it can prompt for entries and then assigns metadata to the measurements in text or numerical form, which is available both in FAMOS and for presentation and editing in display panels and reports.
Enhanced microphone calibration
Supports the convenient calibration of measurement microphones for workflows in acoustics and NVH. The microphone calibration function allows live calibration of acoustic transducers and logs the entire history as a FAMOS data file for reliable traceability and trend analysis. These functions are part of the NVH package imc WAVE that can be integrated into imc STUDIO
New Python® Interface
For the post-processing of measurement data, Python®-coded algorithms can now be executed directly within the imc STUDIO sequencer, similiar to launching imc FAMOS sequences, thus integrating imc STUDIO even better into existing workflows and processes.
Python® is the established programming language in the field of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI). The Python integration opens imc STUDIO up to knowledge from global communities, open source and the world of AI. This can open up new ways of directly subjecting measurement data to innovative forms of post-processing and thus reveiling insights and hidden correlations that were previously unknown and "invisible" to conventional data analysis concepts.
Handling and Responsiveness
Overall, the interactive response when working with configurations of hundreds of active channels has been significantly accelerated in imc STUDIO 2024. This refers to configurations with many channels (>500) with administrative functions such as: config loading, running and stop of measurements. Performance has also been improved with the execution of FAMOS Sequences and many functions of the realtime test automation package imc STUDIO Automation.
Support For All Generations of imc Systems
imc STUDIO 2024 supports all generations of imc DAQ systems, in particular the latest imc ARGUSfit data logger with all its modules and functionalities. imc DAQ devices are not only intelligent data loggers, but also include real-time functionality of a PLC-like real-time test controller. As a unified imc operating software with a unique concept, imc STUDIO integrates the functionalities of data acquisition and real-time control in hardware and software. imc STUDIO enables power users and system integrators to design and apply complete, real-time capable test automation.
