A Variable Test Bench for Sustainable Mining

To help decarbonize the mining industry, Liebherr is developing battery-electric mining trucks, among other solutions. The company designed a test bench for a new battery-electric mining truck drive system with up to 6 MW of system power. Since the test bench had to be designed to handle drivetrain performance levels up to ten times higher than conventional systems, a separate building was constructed for the test stand. Liebherr was advised by imc Test & Measurement on the selection of the measurement technology for the data acquisition solution and test stand automation system.
