The CAEMAX Technology GmbH (2009 – 2021)
Manufacturing Sensors for Testing Vehicle Dynamics
The CAEMAX Technologie GmbH was founded in 2009, from its predecessor company, the CAESAR Datensysteme GmbH, it took over the development, and production department as well as the repair and calibration service for the CAESAR measuring system MOPS. In the following years, CAEMAX revised the universal measuring system MOPS, and created innovative and new measuring instruments for wireless digital signal processing and transmission.
Introducing New Mobile Telemetry Systems and Special Sensors for Wireless Signal Transmission
As a manufacturer of measurement technology for component testing on vehicles, CAEMAX developed and produced measurement amplifiers, telemetry systems, and special sensor technology for measuring mechanical variables. In addition, CAEMAX offered its users comprehensive services for its measurement solutions. The company's expertise became focused on mobile measurement technology, test engineering, control of test benches, and wireless signal transmission of sensors and actuators.
Thus, CAEMAX brought its development of the digital and modular Dx telemetry system to market maturity. Since then, the Dx system allows up to 24 measurement channels to be transmitted synchronously in real time with up to 4 transmitter modules. Due to the wireless transmission of measurement data, Dx telemetry allows the realization of numerous new data acquisition applications. At the same time, the telemetry system became the basis for new CAEMAX products such as the Dx Speed rotary wheel sensor for passenger cars, the WTT torque measuring wheel, or a torque measuring shaft. With the development of the torque measuring wheel WTT, CAEMAX was able to offer and deliver a sensor for even more precise torque measurement. This is necessary - among other things - for the tuning of different drives and their interaction with the brake, as well as for the testing of driver assistance systems and for the evaluation of efficiency.
Other new developments, such as the CLSx steering effort sensor, which today has a market share of 40%, or the WFT-Cx wheel force transducer, were able to convince customers with their fast installation, high accuracy, and ease of use. Thus, the steering effort sensor CLSx and the WFT-Cx wheel force transducer are unsurpassed helpers in the evaluation of vehicles. Based on extensive know-how, innovative telemetric systems for measurement and measurement software, CAEMAX has become a reliable partner for all German automotive manufacturers and the supplier industry.
Partnership with imc Test & Measurement - CAEMAX Becomes Part of imc (2015 – 2022)
In 2015 CAEMAX agreed on an extensive sales and development partnership with the measurement technology manufacturer imc Test & Measurement in order to achieve a more prominent international presence. In this context, imc took a stake in CAEMAX to provide users with complete solutions in the field of vehicle and machine testing. This was done to relieve the burden of demanding measurement and testing tasks in particular by taking over system responsibility. imc acquired the entire CAEMAX stake in 2022. Since then, CAEMAX sensor and telemetry systems have been managed under the imc Test & Measurement brand. Development, production, and service are still located in Munich.
