Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers, including processing accounts receivable and accounts payable activities
  • Assisting with the preparation of individual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and HGB
  • Assisting with the introduction of compliance processes and ICS process specifications, as well as performing account reconciliations and analyses
  • Handling special projects, such as the implementation of new software or measures for continuous improvement
  • Collaborating on acquisition projects and post-merger integrations

Required Qualifications:

  • Completed commercial training (e.g., tax clerk, industrial clerk) or a degree in business administration with a focus on finance/accounting.
  • Professional experience in preparing monthly and annual financial statements in an international environment
  • Confidence in dealing with accounting issues in US GAAP and HGB
  • Ability to work independently in a team (including in virtual/decentralized work structures)
  • Confident use of common accounting programs (e.g., DATEV, Netsuite) and enthusiasm for the digitization of processes
  • Fluent German and English skills as well as very good MS Office skills
