Your Responsibilities:
- Maintaining general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers, including processing accounts receivable and accounts payable activities
- Assisting with the preparation of individual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and HGB
- Assisting with the introduction of compliance processes and ICS process specifications, as well as performing account reconciliations and analyses
- Handling special projects, such as the implementation of new software or measures for continuous improvement
- Collaborating on acquisition projects and post-merger integrations
Required Qualifications:
- Completed commercial training (e.g., tax clerk, industrial clerk) or a degree in business administration with a focus on finance/accounting.
- Professional experience in preparing monthly and annual financial statements in an international environment
- Confidence in dealing with accounting issues in US GAAP and HGB
- Ability to work independently in a team (including in virtual/decentralized work structures)
- Confident use of common accounting programs (e.g., DATEV, Netsuite) and enthusiasm for the digitization of processes
- Fluent German and English skills as well as very good MS Office skills
