Please also observe the notes regarding the update and compatibility! For reading PDF files, a PDF-reader is needed. ============================================================== DOCUMENTATION ============================================================== -------------------------------------------------------------- Status of Online Documentation -------------------------------------------------------------- Some parts of this online documentation are based on an older version. There will typically be pictures inconsistent with the software and/or the descriptive text, missing translations (german language text) etc. Nevertheless, the functions are explained by the context. It is possible to install the online documentation subsequently. Execute "imc.Documents.Setup.exe", which can be found on the installation medium in directory "Documents", and select the required documentation. ============================================================== KNOWN PROBLEMS AND NOTES ON COMPATIBILITY ============================================================== -------------------------------------------------------------- The imc STUDIO plug-in Datapool Remoting is not included in the current version of imc STUDIO. -------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- Known Issues -------------------------------------------------------------- AUTOMATION (REF. 14932) Once a variable has been declared as a PV-variable by renaming it to pv., it retains its Status as a PV-variable and can no longer be renamed. ------------------------------- AUTOMATION - LIMIT VALUE MONITORING (REF. 16863) If the Rank of Limit value monitoring is changed, a different value for the Rank occasionally appears than the one desired. Instead of 4, either 3 or 5 appears (depending on the direction in which the arrows were previously pressed). ------------------------------- DATAPOOL REMOTING (REF. 12309) If the Report channel which is transferred via Datapool Remoting is empty at the moment the measurement starts, the saved Report channel is not displayed in the database upon stopping the measurement. After disconnecting from the data server the measured data appear. ------------------------------- DATAPOOL REMOTING (REF. 12477) Once the port has been changed, imc STUDIO must be re-started. Otherwise, the data do not transfer correctly. ------------------------------- DATAPOOL REMOTING (REF. 13734) It is occasionally no longer possible to connect/disconnect. Please verify in the log book when connecting/disconnecting, whether this has been performed successfully. If not, please re-start imc STUDIO. ------------------------------- DATA BROWSER - LOADING A REFERENCE MEASUREMENT (REF. 10284) It is not possible to load reference measurements during a running measurement. ------------------------------- IMC FAMOS - TEXT VARIABLES (REF. 14987) If text variables that were created in imc FAMOS are imported in imc STUDIO, they are not identified as user-defined variables correctly. ------------------------------- IMC INLINE FAMOS - CALCULATIONS ACROSS MULTIPLE DEVICES (REF. 19922) When calculation operations are applied to measured data from different devices jointly, the time zone of the devices is not taken into account. Calculations are applied only to data which have the same "absolute" time. Ensure that all devices have the same time zone (see device properties). ------------------------------- COMMAND - DATA SAVING ASSISTANT - DATA EXPORT (REF. 17513) If the data are exported by means of the Data Saving Assistant, then the metadata and the format converter’s results are also found in the export folder. However, not in the database. ------------------------------- MONITOR (REF. 14979) Changing the ring buffer time of a TransRecord- or Ofa-Event-channel has no effect. ------------------------------- PROJECT MANAGEMENT - NEW EXPERIMENT TEMPLATE FROM DEFAULT SETTINGS (REF. 18328) If the template is created when there are existing settings on the Setup page "Documentation", they are saved to the template. Only create the template if there are no such settings. ------------------------------- REPORT CHANNEL (REF. 14114) If a report channel is imported to an existing report channel (by means of "Load Variable"), then the entries are included in the old channel. This means that both old and new entries are present. It is no longer possible to write to Report channels following their import. ------------------------------- SCRIPTING - AVAILABILITY OF THE IMC FAMOS KITS (REF. 21941) When creating a script with the provider "imc FAMOS Kits" and with an installation of 64-bit imc FAMOS only the curve Window Kit, the Timestamp-Ascii-Kit, Spectral Analysis and Order Tracking are available in the script. In order to be able to access the other Kits (ClassCounting), a 32-bit installation if imc FAMOS is required. ------------------------------- SETUP - IMC CANSAS (REF. 8191) Changing the name or comment of imc CANSAS channels using the tab: "Setup" is faulty. Please only make changes by means of the appropriate Assistant. ------------------------------- SETUP - PARAMETER SET (REF. 12134) The import of two-point scaling for strain gauge channels did not work. ------------------------------- EXPORTING A VARIABLE (REF. 16445) When a single value is exported, its unit is not exported. ------------------------------- IMPORTING A VARIABLE (REF. 14935) Variables can not be imported to variables of a saved measurement. ------------------------------- IMPORTING A VARIABLE IN AN EXISTING MEASUREMENT (18379) When a channel belonging to a measurement is selected as the target variable, the measurement name was not adopted. ------------------------------- VIDEO (REF. 3691) The filename generated is permanent and derived from the camera type. ------------------------------- ============================================================== CUSTOMER SUPPORT ============================================================== Information on Customer Support is provided in the document imc_STUDIO-GettingStarted.pdf.
